I put my course notes in HTML on a public web page and I no longer use PPT or PDFs. The advantage of this is that I can easily find my stuff using a Google search. I also often use CTRL+F to quickly find text. I noticed recently students reading my web page on an iPad and iPhone before class. I don’t think this is possible with PPT or PDFs (although it may be soon).
